Denne tabel baseres på et særudtræk fra CPR af alle registrets personer, som er registreret født i Grønland. Om disse modtages en statuskode for, hvor disse er på udtræksdagen. Af sammenligningshensyn afgrænses disse af befolkningen 1. januar 2021 CPR blev indført i Grønland i 1972, og dækker tilnærmelsesvist 100 pct i perioden siden. Dette ses ved at summen af tabellens status variabel stort set svarer til det årlige antal levendefødte efter 1972. Før 1973 findes en gruppe personer, som døde før de fik tildelt et personnummer og dermed medgår i denne statistik
